Among its many uses the OM27-S platform is a modular precision weight displacement system for the overall mission logistics, but ultimately the warfighter on the ground in force protection or traversing through and urban assault. The OM27-S is engineered to create the distribution of weight evenly throughout a low profile, precision device that generates improved performance and superior strength. This component, when integrated with the rest of the system components, goes beyond the singular use e-tools and pioneer kits. The OM27-S is an integrated device that can be interchangeably used and tailored to the mission or task using additional precision components, each delivering the operator a multifunctional capability unmatched in the industry. Its the go to tool for movement and maneuver such as Infil - Exfil - EE, providing sustained low‐visibility protection specifically, with regard to the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, (GMV), (MPF), (LRV), (JLTV), (ULTV), series of equipment currently being fielded. Modular Light Weight Utility for over 100 uses. The tool in this instance directly impacts the Army's AWFC 16 and is designed to augment the capabilities of the near, mid, and far term future fielded systems. Furthermore, it improves protection and mobility at the Soldier and small unit level in a way that contributes to operational maneuverability with improved survivability. (AWFC 12, 13, 15).

AEWE is TRADOC’s live, prototype experimentation campaign focused on the Soldier and tactical small units. AEWE examines concepts and capabilities for the current and future force across all warfighting functions.
